The political group Sta\u010dilo!<\/strong> in the Czech Republic<\/strong> is condemned by voters. A Leninist\u2011Marxist<\/strong> project of war against the Catholic Church and of restriction<\/strong> of religious freedom.<\/i><\/p>\n

Defeat for the nostalgics<\/strong> of Leninist religious oppression.<\/p>\n

We rarely deal with political results<\/strong> but today we make an exception.<\/p>\n

After all, the political collapse of Sta\u010dilo!<\/strong><\/mark> in the recent parliamentary elections in the Czech Republic<\/strong> was met with satisfaction and relief by many, not least the Episcopal Conference.<\/p>\n

Running in the October 3 and 4, 2025 elections, the atheist\u2011Marxist group did not manage<\/a><\/em><\/strong> to pass the 5%<\/strong> threshold necessary to enter the Chamber of Deputies, stopping around 4.3%<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The electoral fiasco, it reads<\/a><\/em><\/strong>, will also empty “the communist coffers”<\/i><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

With a turnout of 70%<\/strong>, the elections were instead won by the ANO<\/strong> party with 34%<\/strong> of the vote, ahead of the centre\u2011right coalition Spolu<\/strong> (23%). Also passing the threshold were STAN<\/strong> (centrists), Pirates<\/strong> and Greens<\/strong> (liberal\u2011progressives), SPD<\/strong> (sovereigntist right) and Motorists for Themselves<\/strong>, critical of the EU’s environmental policies.<\/p>\n

Sta\u010dilo!, the atheist\u2011Marxists in the Czech Republic<\/h2>\n

Several times the Czech bishops<\/strong> had expressed in recent days their concern regarding the movement’s openly “anti\u2011church”<\/strong> program.<\/p>\n

Sta\u010dilo!<\/strong> (that is “Enough!”) is a political coalition born in December 2023<\/strong> on the initiative of the Communist Party of Bohemia and Moravia (KS\u010cM), together with other small parties and independent individuals. Its program mixes elements of Leninist\u2011Marxist<\/strong> stamp with those of “cerco” nationalism<\/strong> (euroscepticism etc.).<\/p>\n
