This was the tweet from the most famous fundamentalist atheist in the world, <strong><u>Richard Dawkins<\/u><\/strong>, author of <em>The God Delusion<\/em>. He fought for years to annihilate the \u201cvirus of religion\u201d, but today, somewhat older, he sits on a bench while admiring the <strong>Winchester Cathedral<\/strong>. Who would have said it?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Dawkins, after ascertaining to <strong>\u00ab<em>have failed<\/em>\u00bb<\/strong> \u2013 as he had already <em><a href=\"https:\/\/new.uccronline.it\/2012\/06\/28\/e-ufficiale-richard-dawkins-e-piergiorgio-odifreddi-hanno-fallito\/\">admitted<\/a><\/em> in 2008 \u2013 is <strong>maturing a reconsideration<\/strong> of his position. The topics concerning the inexistence of the Creator have left room for the more political ones (anti-Trump, anti-Brexit etc.), and always more frequently he is showing worried about the <strong>advance of Islam<\/strong> across Europe, so as to rediscover himself by reaction \u00ab<em>culturally Christian<\/em>\u00bb, as he <em><a href=\"https:\/\/new.uccronline.it\/2013\/03\/27\/linconsistenza-di-dawkins-se-il-super-ateo-e-in-realta-agnostico\/\">defined himself<\/a><\/em> in 2013.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In the <em><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RichardDawkins\/status\/1018933359978909696\">recent tweet<\/a><\/em> we are commenting, indeed, he added: \u00ab<em>[Bells are] so much nicer than the aggressive-sounding <strong>\u201cAllahu Akhbar.\u201d<\/strong> Or is that just my cultural upbringing?<\/em>\u00bb. After having been <strong>covered with criticisms and insults<\/strong> (those he never received when he acted as a hater of Christians), he <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/news\/uk\/home-news\/richard-dawkins-allahu-akhbar-church-bells-criticism-religion-a8451141.html\">clarified<\/a><\/em>: \u00ab<em>Church bells are beautiful. The muezzin\u2019s call to prayer can also bhe very beautiful if recited in a good voice. But also, \u201cAllahu Akhbar\u201d is the last thing you want to hear before the suicide bomb goes off<\/em>\u00bb. And again other accusations of <strong><em>Islamophobia<\/em><\/strong>. As <em><a href=\"http:\/\/80.241.231.25\/Ucei\/PDF\/2018\/2018-07-19\/2018071939594883.pdf\">wrote<\/a><\/em> <strong>Giulio Meotti<\/strong>: \u00ab<em>The atheist is always fine when he attacks Joseph Ratzinger, Saint Augustine, and the dusty Judeo-Christian tools. But if he touches Islam, it is a whole other story<\/em>\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">One month ago, we were <em><a href=\"https:\/\/new.uccronline.it\/2018\/06\/10\/di-fronte-allislam-richard-dawkins-vede-nel-cristianesimo-un-baluardo\/\">commenting<\/a><\/em> precisely this <strong>revaluation of Christianity<\/strong> on the part the atheist evolutionist (or, better, agnostic, as he <em><a href=\"https:\/\/new.uccronline.it\/2013\/03\/27\/linconsistenza-di-dawkins-se-il-super-ateo-e-in-realta-agnostico\/\">wanted to define himself<\/a><\/em>), by observing how Dawkins is not curiously choosing and proposing a hard, rationalistic, and positivistic atheism as <strong>\u201cthe bastion\u201d<\/strong> of society against Islamism, as he would have done until few years ago. Not at all. He opted to rehabilitate Christianity, which was absolutely not to be taken for granted.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In this way, the last thing was to <strong>appreciate the \u00ab<em>most beautiful<\/em>\u00bb bells<\/strong> of the Christian churches, by having himself photographed just a few meters from Winchester Cathedral.
